Lately, I've been having a lot of auras. This is something having to do with my epilepsy. I'm very scared of auras, but trying to get over that fear. My mother, Margaret Finnegan, says when I have an aura I should stop and say to my self your obsessing think of some thing nice. While thinking of that thing I would sing Hakuna Matata in my head. If you are ever afraid of some thing so bad that you cry when it happens, think of something nice and sing a song you like whenever it happens.
Another thing you can try when you're feeling afraid is to check your posture. Well--I don't know if this'll work for you, but sometimes I get all scrunched up when I'm nervous. But if I remember to stand up straight and breathe deeply, I feel more powerful.
ReplyDeleteBean, Mom is right. Remember what I told you, think positive thoughts. Make your house a positive zone. There is an old song, "you got to accent the positive, elemanate the negative"
ReplyDeleteSongs work, especially if you sing them start to finish. I won't even tell you the one I sing to myself, it's pretty silly.
ReplyDeleteI just read that a aura is a feeling or warning you get when a seizure is coming on. When I have to go in front of a group and explain my ideas for a project (this is stressful for me)... before I enter the room, I get very still, breath deeply and imagine a favorite smell (mock orange during the spring works)
