I feel trapped

Standing Buddha sculpture, ancient region of G...Image via Wikipedia

A lot of the time I can't stop thinking about my epilepsy. I feel like I am trapped. It makes me very sad. Especially on days that I am having a lot of auras. Whenever I get a thought about my epilepsy I say to myself , it's just a thought I don't need to think about it. Then I do do some deep breathing. When I breath in I think of a word that will calm me. I do the same when I breath out but I think of a different word. When you are deep breathing to calm yourself you could just think of one calming word or image. This is a very Buddhist way of calming down, and it really helps.
